We are a passionate group of Oregon State students who care about our campus and want to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions and OSU has the opportunity to make a much bolder commitment to the environment. President Ray signed an agreement to emit zero net greenhouse gas pollution and become carbon neutral by 2025 as part of a nationwide trend among universities committing to fight climate change, but we must significantly increase our efforts now if we are to meet this goal. Most of OSU’s carbon emissions come from our on-campus buildings and our first project is to renovate the solar thermal heating system in Kelley Engineering Center. This project will replace key components, enable lower maintenance, and effectively reduce our on campus carbon emissions! It will also serve as an opportunity for engineering students to use the campus as a living laboratory and gain hands on research experience. For more information about the project, please visit the Ecologue, OSU's sustainability blog.
We need your support. By making a gift to the Kelley Engineering Center Solar Renovation project you will be helping OSU continue to be a leader in environmental sustainability and reduce the campus' greenhouse gas emissions. To keep our promise to the environment, we must take this first step now. Once we do, OSU will not only be doing its part to tackle the global issue of climate change, it will be leading the way.
Please consider making a gift to our project and help OSU and Oregon become a more environmentally friendly place! Thank you!
Help us make Kelley Engineering Center and the campus a leader in sustainable energy
