The Kevin & Indira Champions of Undergrads Fund was established by the Biochemistry and Biophysics department in honor of Drs. Kevin Ahern and Indira Rajagopal on the occasion of their retirement in December 2018. Ever since they began their teaching careers in the Oregon State Biochemistry and Biophysics department in the mid-1990s, Kevin and Indira have been highly engaged and effective champions of undergraduates and of undergraduate education in general. What is special about Kevin and Indira, and what this fund seeks to honor and perpetuate, is their unflagging care and one-on-one mentorship of students before, during and after their time at Oregon State. Kevin and Indira are admirable models for what it means to be champions of undergrads. This fund creates a legacy in their honor that will provide tangible support for our students into the future.
With this 31 day campaign that ends on their official retirement day, we are sending off our dear friends Kevin Ahern and Indira Rajagopal into their retirement and raising money in their honor for the new fund. We're hoping to get as many people involved as possible! Please consider making a gift of a suggested amount related to Kevin and Indira's career or use the "Give Now" selection to give any amount of your choice. The first $20,000 of gifts will be matched by a generous donor!
