We are raising money to send computer science students at Oregon State University to the Grace Hopper Celebration- the world's largest conference for women in computing. The conference's goal is to "connect, inspire, and guide women in computing" and helps women in technology network, build careers, and give inspiration to those seeking success in a male dominated field.
Last year, seven women from Oregon State received scholarships to attend the conference! It was a transformational experience. Altogether, they had more than 50 interviews with companies such as Google, Microsoft, Facebook, Nike, Disney and more. Many of them received multiple internship offers and immediate job offers at the conference.
By giving to this project, you can help close the gender gap. Our goal is to send as many students as possible to the conference and your gift will allow more women from Oregon State to have the transformational experience of attending the Grace Hopper Celebration.
The School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science has committed to supporting women in computer science by matching all donations up to $15,000!
