OSU Juntos - Together for a Better Education

We couldn't have done it without you!

Thanks to your generous contribution to last year's CREATE fundraiser, we were able to expand the Juntos program to reach more communities throughout Oregon and host the first ever Family Day at OSU!

2016 CREATE Campaign Goal: $10,000

About the 2016 Campaign:

If you haven't heard of the OSU Juntos program, we are excited to tell you more! The 2016 Campaign is 100% tax deductible and 100% designated to supporting actual program costs associated with Juntos (dinners, childcare, buses, and events).

We are excited about providing resources from this campaign to support immediate needs in our current Juntos sites (Tillamook, Madras, Redmond, Newport, Dayton, Mosier, Corvallis, Warm Springs, Sisters, Hood River, The Dalles, Culver, and McMinnville) and our future sites.

If our goal is surpassed, and we make the $25,000 mark... Juntos will be a permanently endowed program with the OSU Foundation!

About Juntos:

Juntos (pronounced “Who-n-toes”) means “Together” in Spanish and works to unite community partners to provide culturally relevant programming for 8-12th grade students and their parents. Programming is designed to empower families with knowledge, skills, and resources to prevent youth from dropping out of high school and to encourage families to work together to gain access to college.

In our three year pilot, Juntos has shown:

  1. 100% high school graduation rates
  2. 100% college-going rate
  3. Decreased dropout rates for underserved audiences
  4. Increased post-secondary access
  5. Increased collaboration between families and school districts
  6. Empowerment of families to become engaged in their communities

Once Juntos programs are established in communities, volunteers are able to continue growing the program with after school clubs, parent nights, providing food for educational sessions, facilitation, etc.

Thank you for the support of Juntos-Oregon!
