Dear Friends,
Thank you for supporting the memorial at OSU-Cascades for our dear friend Paul Risser. You’ve helped to raise nearly $39,200 towards our $55,000 goal. We are 6 days away from our deadline and in sight of beginning our plans for construction. I’d love for Paul to be honored with a beautiful natural space for students and faculty to come together and carry on his passion for learning in Central Oregon. With your help we are a step closer. I don’t want to miss anyone who might also want to remember Paul, so please share this note with others you know who may like to contribute.
I’m sure we all have wonderful memories of Paul. One of my favorite memories of him was a gift I arranged for him. Each week fresh flowers were delivered to his office anonymously and only when he was about to leave OSU did I tell him they were from me. He said that they'd reminded him of the time his twin brother was going through a hard time and he sent flowers to cheer him up. I’d love to hear and share your thoughts of Paul on our campaign page. In March 2014, Paul Risser spoke with Janice Dilg about the process of building a campus in Bend. Paul humbly said that building the campus, "was a team effort, and frankly, everything we did at Oregon State was a team effort. But it was also sort of seeing the opportunities, possibilities, and preparing for them.
